Kat Timpf is mourning the devastating loss of her father, Daniel Timpf, who died unexpectedly on May 7 at the age of 69.
The television personality and commentator shared the heartbreaking news in an emotional public statement, describing her father as far more than a parent. Timpf said Daniel “Dad Timpf” Timpf was her “rock,” “hero,” and “best friend,” remembering him as a loyal, hardworking, and selfless man who devoted his life to his children and family.

According to Timpf, her father made spending time with his grandson a top priority and regularly visited the family while also participating in daily FaceTime calls.
Timpf revealed that she last saw her father just days before his death. The family had reportedly planned to reunite in June for a trip to Texas, where they intended to spend time together and visit her 93-year-old grandfather.
The sudden loss became devastatingly real, she said, when she received a phone call from an emergency room doctor informing her that her father had died unexpectedly.
In her statement, Timpf spoke candidly about the immense grief she is experiencing, calling the situation “an unimaginable horror.” She said the previous year, which included both childbirth and cancer treatment, now feels like a time she wishes she could relive simply because her father was still alive.
